We are now in our 23rd year of sponsoring the Ladies Golf game at the George Golf Club and are fortunate to have our co-sponsors on board again this year. A big thank you to Pomodoro and Salinas Restaurants in Wilderness as well as Travel Bugs Café in George.
Our ladies golf day usually takes place on the last Tuesday of every month.
The result of our Ladies Golf Day on 25 February 2020 are from the left: Yolandi van der Westhuizen & Jan Grundlingh with Nearest to the Pin; Michele Kapp & Nanette van Rooyen took Runner Up; and Lucia Jonck & Annalie van der Westhuizen (not in pic) were the winners.

Harvey World Travel / South Cape Travel Bridal Competition 2020
Harvey World Travel George, Knysna and Oudtshoorn invite all brides of the Southern Cape to enter their popular Bridal Competition.
Each month a Bride is chosen who will be one of the twelve finalists for the Harvey World Travel George, Knysna and Oudtshoorn Bride of the Year 2020 Competition.
Each Bride of the Month receives a meal voucher at the popular Salinas Restaurant in Wilderness to the value of R100, a Pedicure Treatment to the value of R250 at The Beauty Salon in George, a R100 meal voucher at the beautiful Italian Restaurant Pomodoro in Wilderness, rental of an evening dress/suit for one night from Bridal Inn to the value of R450 as well as lunch at trendy Travel Bugs Travel Café and Garden in George to the value of R100.
The Bride of the Year 2020 will receive a 5 night stay, including breakfast, for two adults sharing at any City Lodge Hotel in Southern Africa as well as two return economy class air tickets on kulula.com on any of their domestic services. (Dates subject to availability in the selected resorts and on the airline.)
A full-length and a close-up photograph of the bride are to be submitted. The competition is free and entry forms are available at the Harvey World Travel offices in George and Oudtshoorn as well as at Bridal Inn and the Beauty Salon in George.
The Bride of the Year 2020 Competition is valid to brides whom got married between 1 October 2019 and 31 December 2020. Please remember that you have to be living in the Southern Cape to qualify for this competition.

Candice Kelton and John Barnes had their wedding at La Rosa Blu Rose Farm in Waboomskraal. Her vintage lace mermaid dress were from Besters Bridal in Knysna and the bouquet of white roses, gyp and greens complimented the whole wedding perfectly. Rudy van Heerden took the stunning photographs.
Alicia Booysen and Clifton Strydom married on 8 December 2018 in the NG Church in Oudtshoorn. Alicia wore an elegant and romantic dress with a long train and detachable tulle skirt. Her bouquet of roses and green leaves with a touch of blue complimented her wedding party beautifully. The gorgeous photographs were taken by Elmine Botha.
Kelly Bradfield and Juan Byles got married in December last year at the Survival Boutique Olive Estate. Kelly wore a beautiful classic dress with lost of fine lace and beaded detail from Caren at Bridal Inn. Her bouquet was a moody design by Sandra at Lilly & Lime and the beautiful photographs was taken by Liezel Volschenk.
Helené-Mari de Swardt and Mauritz du Plessis from George were married at the Eden Community and had the wedding reception at Trinity Gate Wedding Venue. Caren from Bridal In designed and made her beautiful open back lace dress. Her bouquet with its king Protea and roses is from Flowers4You and Elmine Botha took the awesome pictures of the wedding reception.
Ray-Ann Williams and Hyron Strydom were married at Ilita Lodge Chapel in September. Her bespoke wedding dress was custom made by Bester’s Bridal Boutique anda the beautiful bouguet was finely put together with greenery complimented with pink and white roses. Peter Chan took the photographs.
Tania Muller and Zandray Nagel, from Oudtshoorn, were married in the New Apostolic Church in March this year. Tania looked spectacular in a white beaded lace dress with a silver crystal neckline, fitted bodice and a full flare skirt. Her bouquet were beautiful pink roses. Photography done by Rudy van Heerden
Suzette Coetzer and Roddie Meiring were married on a farm outside Oudtshoorn. Suzette embraced the whole vintage look. Her dress was made of lace and mesh with gold details and pearls. Her bouquet of Protea and Fynbos suited her theme perfectly. Bridal Inn made her dress and Elmine Botha took the beautiful photographs.
Nadia Britz and Graig du Preez were married in December 2015. Her beautiful dress had cream lace shoulders with a lace v-shaped back. The bouquet had a Karoo feel with white roses and a touch of blue. Photography by Peter Chan

Marisa du Plessis and Johnnie Borrett married in March at Carmel Church. Her Petite-Princess style dress in soft Italian silk, had pearl and lace shoulder detail and a low cut V-shaped back. The all-white classic bouquet of white roses with baby’s breath was also beautiful.

Lee-Ann Oosthuizen and Monre Botha were married at AGS Soteria Church in George. To Lee-Ann this was a dream come true when she wore her mom’s wedding dress. Her sun flower bouquet was a symbol of happiness, strength and the love of the sun.

Maritza Terblanche was married to Philip de Klerk in April this year. Their wedding was held at Oppie Plaas in Waboomskraal. Maritza looked beautiful in a white bodice with a full lace skirt and beaded belt. Her bouquet was of proteas, fynbos and succulents.
Charlene and Ruan Venter were married at Fancourt earlier this year. Her dress was detailed with beautiful illusion lace and completed with a dramatic V-back. Charlene’s bouquet was warm pastel colours tied with a beautiful piece of lace.
Evette le Roux was married to Davin Janse van Rensburg in September this year at Oppie Plaas Wedding Venue. Evette looked like a princess in a beautiful vintage style A-line dress with Parisian lace and lots of small, fine pearls and Swarovski crystals on the centre piece of her dress.
Marike du Plessis and Carl Wehlitz were married at By Grace Alone. Marike wore a white A-Line dress with a bouquet of pink flowers.
Mari Strydo m and Brandon Schafli were married at the Knysna Presbyterian Church. Mari wore a white strapless satin dress with a separate white lace jacket. Her bouquet was beautiful St Joseph lilies with blue delphiniums.
